Senior Field Application Engineer

RGo Robotics is pioneering an artificial perception technology that enables mobile robots to understand complex surroundings and operate autonomously just like humans. Patent-pending computer vision and AI technology comprise Perception Engine, which runs on ultra-low-cost, low-power hardware. The applications for Perception Engine are nearly endless, from AGV/AMRs in logistics and manufacturing to last mile delivery and service robots in consumer markets.

What will you do?

As a Senior Field Application Engineer, you will partner with the sales team to drive design wins with major robotics OEMs. In this role you will engage in both high level and very detailed technical discussions with CTOs and engineering executives during the early phases of the OEM sales cycle. In later phases, the Solution Architect will organize and drive technical demonstrations, proofs-of-concepts, and pilots. In the final phases, you will lead deeper technical integration discussions and help define and capture customer-specific requirements and feature requests that can be effectively communicated back to the development team.

Key Responsibilities:

Play a key role in selling RGo Robotics’ offering to its target markets, working with various types of customers and robotic systems,
Collaborate with the sales team, engineers, and product managers to develop solutions that meet customer requirements,
Prepare and present technical elements of sales proposals and presentations,
Lead all aspects of technical discussions with customers,
Develop software specific applications and demos for customers,
Analyze customer requirements and ensure products meet customer requirements,
Follow up on post sale issues and ensure that relevant company functions respond to customer needs,
Participate in trade shows, regional seminars, and other marketing events as required,
Collaborate with product and marketing team to identify new customer requirements and potential new offerings,
Up to 30% travel.

Must have:

BS degree or higher in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, or related field with a focus on robotics,
Previous outside sales experience /5+ years of technical sales experience,
Strong systems engineering and robotics background,
Ability to thrive when presented a complex challenge in a fast-paced, performance-oriented culture,
Exceptional level of integrity, creativity, energy, and passion.

Nice to have:

Professional or research experience with C/C++, Python, ROS, and Linux,
Experience in the logistics/material handling markets,
Understanding of sensor fusion and systems that include LiDAR, GNSS, inertial, and vision-based modalities.
